exar Champlain Cable makes products for demanding process environments.Wire and cable products that are tough enough to survive extreme manufacturing processes such as varnish impregnation bake cycles used in the manufacturing of motors and transformers. Exar wires are extremely durable, flexible and help save money by preventing costly rework and scrap.

 

Transformers

The Exar® 150 family of wire products can take the heat! It will withstand high temperatures up to 240ºC for 4 hours, offering superior thermal stability. Exar® 150 is used as lead wire for HID transformers and can withstand the most rugged VPI processing. Its 150ºC flex rating reduces varnish bake cycles by allowing higher processing temperatures. Varnishes and epoxy based resins are no match for Exar®’s toughness and ability to shed varnish.

Avoid excessive rework costs or the use of unnecessary shrink tubing and sleeving due to varnish related problems.

Reduce processing costs and increase throughput by utilizing the highest speed cut and strip equipment.

Exar® wire products can be used in class E, B, F, H and N* electric motors. Varnishes and aggressive epoxy-based resins do not adversely affect Exar®.

Processing on the newest, fastest cut and strip equipment is not a problem. Reduce your scrap and processing costs!

Is flexibility an issue? Our SFX product line has the flexibility and feel of rubber yet retains the performance and toughness of XLPE and our Exar® products.

Generators

Exar® wire products can be used in class E, B, F, H and N* electric generators. Varnishes and aggressive epoxy based resins do not adversely affect Exar®.

Exar® has excellent cut and strip properties. Reduce processing costs by utilizing the highest speeds of your cut and strip equipment.

Flexibility

Reduce routing problems the amount of wire used by using our SFX product. SFX has the flexibility and feel of EPDM and silicone rubber yet retains the toughness of XLPE and our Exar® products.

 

Control Panels

EXAR XLE is an excellent choice for control panel wiring. It has the flexibility of a rubber type material yet it has the toughness of XLPE. It is up to 24% thinner than conventional insulations, so it uses much less space in crowded panels. EXAR XLE is available in 14 different colors. Exar XLE is rated up to 150°C in accordance to ISO6722. It has a life expectancy of more than 100 times longer than other 105°C rated materials.

EXAR XLE has two UL recognized styles. UL3657 a lead is wire rated at 105°C and 1000 volts. Champlain Cable also has a multi-conductor cable style sheet UL 21614 rated at 105°C and 1000 volts.
